
The Chimera, a strange amalgamation of creatures being host to a lion, a goat and a snake all combined together. It is an inherently magical creature with physical strength but lacking in endurance.
Most of the species are violent and territorial. However some aren’t quite so violent, only being violent towards things that threaten their lives or the lives of those they’ve come to care for.
There are those who actively join the hunt, not just to help but to also help stem and give an outlet for their often brutal nature. They take human form and will NEVER break the masque unless they’re fighting.
Recommended Starting Age:
We recommend anywhere between 18 - 30 for a Chimeras starting age, while this is recommended Chimera won't usually join the hunt after the age of 60 since their loyalties have been chosen by then and they are stalwart in their ways.
There are only two types of Chimera, Dusk and Dawn. All Chimera have access to Lightning, Fire and Poison based abilities however both Dusk and Dawn Chimera have a set list of magics from the elemental wheel which they can specialize in two of.
Dusk Chimera have access to a set of 8 different types of magic, they can specialize in two other magic types outside of lightning, fire and poison chosen from the list below.
Dawn Chimera have access to a set of 8 different types of magic, they can specialize in two other magic types outside of lightning, fire and poison chosen from the list below.
While some may well be mindless beasts, a large majority have tamed their wilder natures and have chosen to fit in with societies that are around them.
A complete lie that has come about due to a gang of Chimera in the past claiming to have 'slain' the deity of war. They mysteriously disappeared however the lie still persists in some groups.
Yet another lie. There are no infections or anything that can change someone in to a Chimera unless it's via magic and it's not even magic that the Chimera have access too.
The Chimera all have one underlying belief, that the strong survive and the weak perish. However those who join the hunt may find that their view of this changes. Yes the strong survive and the weak still perish however the strong have the ability to protect the weak and should do so that all survive.
The Chimera get access to a choice of two abilities. The one they want must be chosen when they're being made. These abilities both fall under the Looks advantages as they effect your characters social interactions.
The Chimera can pick 1 skill, any rolls with that skill now are all at normal difficulty and not hard.
Attribute change allows the chimera to change the attributes that they start with along with having an additional one dot. This change can be used at any time to respec the character however it can only be done once so choose wisely.
